few words from the new Commanding Officer" "When January 1st comes each year I look at it as a new beginning, a chance to put the previous year in the history books and start a new chapter. "These words are especially true this year for me and "D" Company, Buffalo City Guard, Gordon Highlanders. In December I was elected and sworn in as the new Commanding Officer of this illustrious organization. And so begins a new era. I look forward to leading this group and I am anxious for winter break to end and the new parade season to begin. A lot of hard work goes into each year, both seen and unseen, and without the support and cooperation of all of our members success cannot be achieved.
